Leading medical device company in the Bay Area dedicated to the research and development of ophthalmic instrumentation and products to treat patients at risk of blindness. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers and management
  • Utilize technical skills to assist in testing prototypes and new technology
  • Experience in assembling prototypes including soldering electronics
  • Maintaining test equipment
  • Write test reports and procedures
  • Comfortable using Windows based computers and Microsoft Office programs
  • Perform other duties as required


Requirements and Experience:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years’ experience in R&D or in a related environment
  • Strong electro-mechanical aptitude and interest
  • Commitment to excellence and high quality standards
  • Good problem solving skills with an ability to record and provide critical feedback of observations to engineering and product design groups
  • Ability to use basic hand tools
  • Aptitude to learn the electrical, pneumatic and mechanical details of custom designed equipment
  • Personal attributes – high integrity, detail oriented, self-starter, ability to operate independently as well as part of a team, good communicator (both written and verbal skills), a positive attitude
  • Must be available to work on overtime as needed
  • Medical Device experience a plus
