We’re seeking a Cloud & Data Center Hosting Associate Director, that can sit REMOTE, who’s ready to help us deliver on our commitments today, plan our strategy for the future and leave their fingerprints on the organization for years to come.
The successful candidate will serve as an infrastructure leader, working directly with other Digital Technology leaders to develop and implement the company’s cloud and hosting transformational strategies, allowing our client to stand on its own as an independent company. The role calls for a highly motivated individual to lead a global team of Digital Technology managers and application owners to assess, plan and execute the migration of infrastructure and applications from current legacy states to fully managed cloud platforms residing in Microsoft Azure and private and shared data centers
  • Essential Responsibilities
    • Architects transition plans to “lift and shift” critical applications and servers to robust cloud environments
    • Leverages new and existing tools to identify and remediate risk and increase efficiency of systems and services to users
    • Leads the client cloud and infrastructure hosting strategy post transition
    • Oversees management and monitoring of the global cloud, data center and regional hub platforms
    • Oversees MIM calls related to relevant cloud infrastructure and participates in the major incident resolution process
  • Education/Certifications
    • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline and/or ten-plus years of relevant leadership experience
  • Basic Qualifications
    • Work with a variety of Azure Cloud services, primarily on the Platform services
    • Infrastructure focused background with hands-on experience using Azure DevOps (VSTS)
    • Scripting/Automation using common offering such as PowerShell, Terraform, Kubernetes, Ansible, Helm
    • Excellent with Azure IaaS offering including storage, networking, and management tools
    • Ten-plus years of cloud and server architecture, strategy and project management experience with an emphasis on digital transformation and transition programs
    • Strong knowledge of ITIL process management and experience with the Service Now ITSM platform
    • Experience with program and project management methodologies and functional experience migrating large-scale, complex infrastructure to the cloud
    • Experience with Microsoft Azure SaaS, IaaS and PaaS architecture and deployment methodologies
    • A strong background in data center architecture and management strategy
    • Leadership experience managing and directing transformation programs on a global level, leveraging both onshore and offshore teams to accomplish a goal
    • A strong sense of urgency
    • A demonstrated understanding of the nature of core-critical application stability
    • Experience working in a highly matrixed environment
    • Extensive knowledge of LAN/WAN topologies, MPLS, iWAN, SDWAN and other global connectivity options
    • Practical administration experience of the entire network stack including, but not limited to, security, transport (LAN switches), routing, connectivity, servers, storage and the Microsoft stack (Active Directory)
