About the Role
An Onboarding Expert is responsible for setting up and activating restaurants on the platform. This includes back office administration (submitting menus, scheduling photography and approving photos) as well as phone or in person training of restaurant partners to use the Uber Eats platform.

Who You Are
We are looking for a skilled individual to help us support individual restaurant partners and set them up for success. This individual has excellent communication and problem-solving skills, thoughtful customer service experience, a reasonable, process-driven mindset, and a go-getter attitude. You'll be expected to shape new restaurants' experiences with the platform, train them to be great partners, and quickly adapt in an ever-growing business.

You'll have the opportunity to work with a top-notch operations team and will get to deep dive into Uber's day-to-day-operations. This is a contract role, but you'll hold a critical position in helping develop a brand new product as Uber continues to transform the local cityscape.


  • Coordinate and execute the restaurant onboarding process (e.g. setting up system profiles, photography uploading/scheduling, building and curating the menu the restaurant will show in the app).
  • Train restaurants on the platform and tools needed to be successful Uber EATS partners
  • Provide excellent customer service and support for these new restaurant partners
  • Work with the Restaurant Operations and Sales team to streamline processes
  • Step up to ensure our business is successful: whether that's pushing extra hard to get those last few restaurants set up and ready to start taking orders and willing to put in that extra effort to make the business successful.

What You'll Need

  • Incredible empathy and understanding of restaurant partners. You will be an excellent advocate for Uber's users and are passionate about the community experience.
  • Calm under pressure. You have excellent organizational skills, integrity, and great follow-through on tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills. You're eloquent and able to strike the perfect tone, whether you're explaining a new policy to Restaurants, explaining the importance of certain complicated metrics, or responding to support issues over email.
  • Agility. You can move quickly with care. You embrace change and can absorb new information with ease.
  • Proficiency using computers (typing, quickly navigating between various tools).
  • Excellent reading comprehension and writing skills. Must be able to connect what partners are asking for with answers to their true issues.
  • Passion for helping others and creating support experiences that exceed restaurant partners' expectations.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and find speedy resolutions.
  • Skills for handling multiple issues at once to efficiently resolve a large number of inquiries.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, contributing to a collaborative work environment where people learn from one another and continuously improve processes on behalf of users.
  • Amenable to work time that is shift based totaling 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday 8:30am-5pm).
