RPGLE Developer

Client Industry: Retail

Location: Memphis, TN & Columbus, OH

Length: Permanent

Compensation: Negotiable based on experience

 

All candidates must be authorized to work on W2 basis without sponsorship for any employer in the United States. NO C2C for this opportunity.

RPGLE Developer Responsibilities:

  • Understand requirements and helps author technical designs
  • Maintain existing code and author new programming tasks
  • Write code that meets or exceeds all coding standards and changes to such specifications
  • Write unit and automated tests
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure standards are met
  • Provide story or business requirements breakdown planning and estimates
  • Accountable for small stories or business requirements
  • Identify own dependences and problems
  • Follow prescribed process, able to observe deviations from the process and suggest course corrections
  • Iterate and improve upon stable technologies
  • Interact with team members, within the department, or business users
  • Work on assignments with contractors and provide tactical guidance
  • Possesses thorough knowledge of one or more domains

RPGLE Developer Requirements:

  • Background working on Supply Chain Applications, including Warehouse Management System (Manhattan PkMS a plus), Final Mile, Transportation Management (Manhattan a plus), Rate Shopping tools etc.
  • Experience working with multiple database tools like DB2, SQL, Oracle
  • Experience in AS400/RPG programming
  • Familiar with industry standards around IT change management and development
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field of work or equivalent work experience
  • 2 years relevant work experience

PLUSES

  • Experience with EDI/data transmission
  • Experience working in both Agile as well as waterfall methodologies
