Scrum Master
Ideal candidate is an experienced, energetic Certified Scrum Master to become a part of a living culture shift and transformation.  The candidate must be familiar with SAFe implementations and Program Increment Planning.  The Scrum Master must have the charisma and leadership abilities to guide teams in following process and capturing valuable metrics.  In addition, the candidate must be efficient, with little direction, in removing obstacles and impediments, ensuring that Features are delivered on time.  You will also help remove obstacles and foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement to create value in the value streams.
Required Skills:
  • Minimum 2 years Scrum Master experience.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
  • At least one Agile Certification; CSM, CSP, CSPO, CST, CEC, CTC, SP, SA; equivalent or higher. 
  • SAFe and/or DevOps implementation experience. 
  • Participation in at least 1 Program Increment
  • Self-Motivated; can take appropriate actions with little to no direction.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and guidance for multiple scrum teams performing software development for Waterfall to Agile Engineering projects.
  • Organize and facilitate the planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum-related meetings for multiple projects
  • Assist Leadership and the Release Train Engineer to drive and implement Agile Transformation initiatives in to the Team Levels. 
  • Provide coaching, as needed, to Perspecta employees and contractors that are transitioning to new agile roles. 
  • Organize and facilitate the planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum-related meetings for multiple projects
  • Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress ; includes tracking metrics for teams and executive leadership to present information radiators.
  • Support and assist with the maintenance Scrum Master process documentation as a community; includes development of processes, templates, artifacts, training materials, and lessons-learned.
  • Ensure the scrum/development teams are practicing the core Agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability and visibility.
  • Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency and radiating information
  • Participate at least once a month in the Agile Community of Practice Forum (internal to Perspecta) to help growth and maturity across the organization; can be through questions, feedback, or collaboration on changes needed. 
  • Assist scrum teams with the methods to prioritize and resolve defects/bugs
  • Assist team with making appropriate commitments through capacity planning.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of team standards, tools and best practices
  • Assist in the identification and removal of impediments for scrum teams
  • Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution
  • Empower the scrum teams to self-organize
