Security Engineer (SIEM) Apex Systems, the nation's second largest IT staffing firm, is supporting a Security Engineer career opportunity for one of our largest healthcare clients in the Nashville area. This resource will administer, manage and support SIEM for the organization.

Duration: Contract-to-Hire

Location: Nashville Area

Pay: Negotiable based on experience
POSITION SUMMARY: 

  • Develop and Implement strategic improvements to IBM Qradar SIEM
  • Design and execute processes to continuously improve detective capabilities
  • Coordinate with Security Operations Center to maintain and improve SIEM configuration
  • Collaborate on integrations, such as automated ticketing and reporting


EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Common knowledge of Security threat tactics and detection techniques
  • Common knowledge of anomaly detection concepts
  • Common knowledge of system administration concepts
  • Common knowledge of malware techniques

Preferred

  • Scripting and Automation
  • Incident Response and alarm tuning

EDUCATIONAL  REQUIREMENTS: 

Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant experience. Appropriate industry certification(s) desired
