Our client is seeking a motivated and out-going individual for an Email Security Engineer position within its Cybersecurity team to work jointly with systems support personnel, Security Engineers and IT teams to enhance email security and ensure a secure computing environment.

* Expert understanding of SMTP and email routing.
* Expert understanding of SPAM techniques and email hygiene.
* Deep understanding of Malware & DLP Technologies.
* Deep understanding of SPF, DKIM, & DMARC.
* Deep understanding of Microsoft Exchange 2010+ including Office 365.
* Deep understanding of DNS.

Top 5-10 responsibilities for this position:
1) Monitor/Configure mail gateways on behalf of Acquired Entities.
2) Resolve mail routing issues on behalf of Acquired Entities.
3) Configure SPF/DKIM/DMARC on behalf of Acquired Entity.
4) Work with other mail team members to resolve issues on behalf of the Acquired Entity.
5) Collaborate with other team members on solutions analysis for Acquired Entities.

* Provide technical engineering services for the support of integrated email security systems and solutions.
* Responsible for guiding the design and implementation of email secure solutions and services across business and IT support areas.
* Design, develop, or recommend integrated email security system solutions that will ensure proprietary/confidential data and systems are protected.
* Drive the successful configuration and implementation of email security solutions to reduce risk to an acceptable level.
* Lead special projects or investigations into specific email security technology or solution issues and shepherd research and piloting of new email security technologies.
* Serve as a point of contact for engineering efforts and has overall responsibility for the correctness and integrity of the security system infrastructure that maintains compliance with enterprise-wide architecture policies and guidelines.
* Responsible for reviewing the compliance and performance of email security technologies and optimizing them for efficiency, effectiveness, and enhanced security.
* Support security posture assessments and risk analysis.
* Develop actionable email security blueprints, principles, models, designs, standards and guidelines to ensure enterprise information technology architecture and support is consistent, usable, secure and adds value to the business.
* Support efforts to identify email security and engineering problems and provide solutions.
* Conduct triage assessments of findings from email security appliances.
* Contribute to cost-effective efforts to improve email security and configuration.
* Support standards-compliance in secure system development, support, assessment, remediation, and configuration/change management.
* Promote best practices for reviews, analysis, and run-time protection.
* Manage communications with internal/external customers and engage with other internal and external parties to get and share information to improve processes and security posture.

* Extensive knowledge of email security technologies and configurations.
* Experience with performing assessments of email infrastructure.
* Experience with Email Gateway and Email Infrastructure.
* Familiarity with security controls, security frameworks, and implementation.
* Experience ensuring security standards are met and demonstrating a security first mindset.
* Understanding of troubleshooting.
* Technical knowledge of email security engineering, networking and software architectures.
* Understanding of email security troubleshooting, integration, deployment, and administration.
* Experience with PowerShell or bash/ksh/sh, Perl, Tcl, or Lua scripting.
* Experience with system hardening tools.
* Experience evaluating systems for security vulnerabilities.
* Experience withholding or leading meetings and developing presentations.
