Senior Epic Ambulatory Consultant

Our client has contracted with Epic as part of the Refuel project to evaluate all lab orders and lab result components that are currently configured. The consulting resource is needed to complete the analysis of existing build against Epic’s model build, work with internal resources on changes, complete the required database changes, attend meetings, produce documentation to aid in ongoing support and is expected to have in depth knowledge of Epic’s recommendations for EAP/LRR build.

The consultant will work closely with existing resources to understand current configuration and will allow existing staff to continue to support current file structure while the consultant focuses on the analysis that is necessary to make the best decision.

Consultant will be utilized specifically to achieve a successful restructure of the EAP/LRR database.

Required Skillsets and Qualifications of a successful candidate must include:

  • Med Technologist – LIS experience, Sunquest/Quest knowledge, experience with multiple hospital installs/interfaces (someone who worked at a hospital that utilized Sunquest and integrated with Epic or implemented Beaker)
  • Certified in Ambulatory – experience working for hospital that implemented ambulatory where they were involved in the setup/design prior to moving in to consulting
  • Proficient in Imports
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Proficient in Chronicle report generation
  • Proficient in EAP and LRR build
  • HL7 exposure
  • Medical Technologist
  • Certified in Epic Beaker (optional)
  • Certified in Epic Ambulatory

  • Equipment: Laptop, Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, Docking station
  • Software: EpicCare, Microsoft Office, PPM, SharePoint
