Title: Project Manager- New Store and Remodel Technology 

  • Role:
    • Support IT Team in managing New Store Opening Process
    • Ensure on-time delivery of IT components per the construction schedule
  • Responsibilities:
    • Proactively communicate with Company Construction Leadership, PMs and General Contractors on dates, status and changes
      • Build relationships to sustain current business
  • Pre-site qualification information:  Request from GCs/Obtain from Floorplans
    • Secure Cabling date
  • Is Union labor required
  • Master Building Permit #
  • Finished ceiling height
  • Ceiling Deck Height
  • Ceiling Type (Structural Steel w/ Bar Joists, concrete, wood, etc.)
  • Ensure Telco Installed:
  • Main contact person on the Telco orders/Broadband/Ethernet installation
    • Enter Line and Circuit information on Portal
    • Liaison between Telco, Customer, Landlord and install vendors
    • Escalation for Telco Vendors
  • Verify line numbers and T1 are successfully installed.
  • Site Readiness
    • Ensure Permanent Power, Conduit, Backboard and Pull String are installed by due date(s)
    • Notifies all vendors of date changes for installs, site contact changes and address changes
    • Ensure access to site in coordination with GC for vendors, telco, deliveries, inspections, etc.
  • Proactively communicate with IT on changes and assist in completing tasks to achieve on-time delivery
    • Work closely with IT in support of their goals/responsibilities/tasks
  • Manage Vendors throughout the phases of the new store opening process
    • Manager Vendor escalations
      • Vector is missing cables or at the wrong locations
      • Vendors are behind schedule causing delays for other trades (i.e. Novar, Vector, EMS, inspections)
      • Site has permitting issues, or a LV vendor didn’t pull a required permit
      • Manage and resolve Electrical issues and equipment damaged/missing
  • Manage “New Store Opening” Timeline
    • Communicate with Vendors IT
    • Tracking hardware deliveries from 3rd Party; Escalate any issues
    • Telco Tracking for on time delivery
    • Forward blue prints to all vendors
  • Host and participate in conference calls and meetings with Vendors, IT, GCs and Construction
    • Provide agenda and topics for weekly meeting(s)
    • Capture all notes and action items from meeting(s) publish to all attendees
    • Track action item completion and publish to all parties
      • Work with vendors to ensure action items are completed on due date(s)
  • Liaison between Vendors and GCs, Company Construction and IT
  • Operational Liaison to direct activities of Vendors
  • Direct vendors and prioritize their activities regarding New Store Technology Delivery
  • Point of escalation for company IT and Construction for issues with Vendors and/or process(es)
  • Potential travel to construction sites and new store openings
  • Skills:
    • Ability to work independently, with IT Teams, GCs and Vendors
    • Construction and IT knowledge/background helpful
    • Ability to work in a dotted-line environment
      • Direct others within Company/Take direction from Company
      • Direct Vendor team(s)
      • Set Priorities for others
      • Be accountable and take ownership for others work
    • Ability to communicate/work with all levels of the Organization
      • VP, Director, Manager, Individual contributors
    • Communicate effectively via all methods- Email, Calls, Text, In-Person
