The Agile Scrum Master is proficient in agile techniques and is adept at change management through influence and facilitation of Agile into new environments. We are seeking a talented Scrum Master to provide effective collaboration, facilitation, leadership, and set a powerful example for the team. The Ideal candidate will work with our Sr Agile Coach to provide guidance, coaching and direction towards maturing and optimizing Agile execution methodologies through the constant improvement of Agile application principles and processes. This is a Manager level position also responsible for Sprint Planning, Release Planning, Sprint execution tracking, risk management and management of metrics related to sprint planning and execution. This individual must have demonstrated ability work across technology disciplines in a matrix organization. They will be responsible for enforcing the rules of Scrum, removing impediments from their team while promoting self-management and constantly improving our work standards as the central role in fast project delivery with fewer defects. This role will interact closely with IT and Business teams to educate and execute Agile methodology.

Own, advocate, and coach Agile scrum processes, ensuring that the team is always following the framework and looking for opportunities to continuously improve. Serve as Scrum Master for up to two Agile teams. Uphold Agile values and principles; facilitate Agile ceremonies. Focus teams to deliver value quickly. Foster a motivating culture of openness, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Coordinate across other Agile teams for complex projects. Organize and facilitate project planning, daily stand-up meetings, Sprint reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning and other Scrum-related meetings. Track and communicate sprint/release progress via information radiators. Ensure all information radiators are current and broadly available Play a key le team member role in the delivery of complex technology and business solutions. Champion and embody the Scrum way-of-life across the development teams. Encourage and support iterative and collaborative development – favoring people over process. Own, advocate, and teach Agile scrum processes, ensuring that the team is always following the framework and looking for opportunities to continuously improve Escalate and/or resolve impediments to help your team ship code. Leverage data to measuring & monitoring progress against commitments. Coach teams on the basics of Scrum or Kanban as needed in simple term Promote creation and adoption of standard practices for Scrum Management and Sprint planning, program management, Metrics management and reporting. Guiding and coaching the Scrum Team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to meet program objectives. Creatively apply Scrum management/ Sprint Planning processes to address unique situations; Assess Scrum execution status and direct corrective measures to ensure program success including escalation and visibility to senior leadership when appropriate.

Waterfall Description:  The Project Manager Senior is responsible for simultaneously directing the efforts of multiple cross-functional project teams to achieve clearly defined results within the triple constraints of time, budget and specifications for medium and high-complexity projects. This position is responsible for an average of 3-6 projects with an average cost of $500K-$900K each as well as low-complexity programs.  The position is responsible for assembling the project team, developing the project work plan, and managing the expectations, deliverables and results of all internal and external project resources for the roles and activities defined in the plan. The Project Manager is responsible for tracking project milestones and making necessary adjustments to the project plan or resources to maintain customer commitments. The Project Manager communicates project status and risks to all project stakeholders and manages the change process for each assigned project.


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field highly preferred
  • 5-10+ years of scrum master experience with in-depth knowledge of Scrum and implementation of Agile Methodologies to multiple teams in large-scale enterprise change projects & programs 
  • Agile certifications highly preferred (Certified Scrum Master, PMI-ACP, Certified Product owner, SAFE, etc)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Ability to manage projects leveraging Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience managing multiple medium/high complexity projects in a matrix resource environment, working with diverse project sponsors across multi-company and business units
  • Strong knowledge of Scrum Management, Sprint and Release Planning Strong understanding of and experience with Software Development Life Cycles, as well as strong project management skills; must have a solid background utilizing an Agile approach to software development.
  • Experience influencing and managing project teams without formal direct reporting relationships
  • Experience managing SDLC projects using an iterative methodology preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of PMI based project management competency areas and methodologies and experience applying these methods to manage successful projects
  • Analytical skills are required to effectively manage activities related to budgeting, forecasting, monitoring, process management, risk management, quality control and reporting/
  • Ability to quickly analyze data and make good decisions.
  • This individual must leverage collaboration, consensus building and indirect reporting relationships to influence Technology Leadership, Team members, and key customers to execute on a common vision and strategy.
  • Superior organizational, time-management, negotiation, influencing and communication skills (verbal and written) and experience leveraging these skills to interact with all levels of management.
  • Passion for managing large scale projects/programs that impact a large internal user and/or customer base to ensure high quality end user experience.
  • Excellent skills and knowledge situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
  • Effective oral, written, and presentation skills are required Ability to gain credibility to influence decision makers and influencers influence within and across boundaries without direct authority.
  • Team specific coaching and mentorship experience on several engagements
  • Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc
  • Demonstrated work history of being on multiple Scrum teams in a variety of different contexts different team sizes, different organizations, different cultures, co-located vs. distributed, etc. 
  • Knowledge and/or experience with Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games Experience in an IT Finance Risk Management and spend analytics leadership role.
  • Ability to lookout for risk and come up with sound mitigation plans. Knows how to ask the hard questions of the team and continuously confirms decisions, timelines and dependencies. Can identify risk early, find the cause(s) of the problem, weigh different option, define and implement the best solution possible.
  • Ability to be a champion for change and continuous improvement within technology and the business.
  • Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary and cross-functional team with respect towards others and focused on successfully meeting team goals.
  • Appropriately influences cross-functional team members without formal authority or management control.

  • Experience with driving/managing IT projects that deal with Product delivery and product management lifecycle projects.
  • Experience in driving projects in an Agile environment as a scrum master but able to accommodate supporting waterfall teams/environments/integrations, etc. 
  • Understanding of API, Cloud computing and Service oriented architecture and technologies.
  • Understanding of customer journey mapping
  • Experience with customer service technologies and platforms (Chat, Omni channel CRM, VRU, Gamification, Intelligent routing, Advance reporting, Support ticketing, Work Force Effectiveness, Virtual assistants, etc).
  • Knowledge of the key elements of a digital marketing, including Paid Media (PPC, Display, Social Paid, CPM, etc.), Conversion Rate Optimization, Search Engine Optimization, Social Media Marketing and Analytics.
  • Experience in driving large scale CRM, ERP, Mainframe and custom applications leveraging SDLC methodologies.
  • Experience in customer contact systems, customer relationship management systems, customer survey and satisfaction desired.
  • Experience in customer billing systems, remittance processing, revenue tracking desired.
  • High-level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and Project
  • High-level of proficiency using Microsoft SharePoint

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  Specify major duties performed by the job and percentage (%) of time spent on duties.

  • Lead and provide work direction to a project team to determine project scope, devise and maintain a workable plan, and to develop and deploy the solution in accordance with the needs of the project.
  • Serve as project communication clearing house for all formal project status reporting
  • Develop and maintain all project manager deliverables throughout the project lifecycle
  • Identify project risk, develop a project risk management plan and actively manage risk throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage interaction between the customer, vendors, and the internal project team to ensure that appropriate relationships exist to produce positive project outcomes
  • Works cross departmentally to establish priorities and delivery dates for all projects based on bandwidth and business objectives
  • Manage the project change control process, status reporting, project estimating, monthly cost accounting and vendor invoice processing
  • Develops and/or monitors vendor deliverables in compliance with binding statements of work
  • Effective delegation of administrative work to Project Manager I as well as mentoring to lower level staff.
