Senior Web Developer
Client: Data Analytics & Technology Company
Contract: 6 month contract or contract to hire  
Location: North York
Job Description:
The Senior Web Developer is responsible for the development and design of web applications and components. Moreover, the developer will design, code, test, and implement websites and applications, for either internal or external uses.
  • Improve and maintain the existing application to comply with our evolving

business and customer requirements.
  • Create robust UI components to simplify and improve end-user experiences.
  • Architect new features and solutions with the team.
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders in the company.
  • Passionately write elegant and reusable code.
  • Be mindful of adding code into a large codebase and embrace writing tests.

  • Enhance application for maximum speed and scalability
  •  Validate input before submitting to back end
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholder
  • Bridge the gap between graphic design and technical implementation
  • Translate UI/UX design wireframes to actual code
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.

  • Develop new user facing features.
  • Write reusable code and libraries.
  • 5+ years of professional experience with JavaScript and web development.
  • Experience building admin interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  • Proficiency in modern JS technologies such as Angular 2+.
  • Deep understanding of Typescript, ES6, Node.js, and Webpack.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs
  •  Strong Experience with modern CSS preprocessors such as SASS or LESS.
  • Experience with CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap.
  • Experience writing unit and/or end to end tests.
  • Comfortable using team collaboration tools such as Jira, Git, and Slack.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrable track record delivering results in an agile, dynamic environment.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
