Apex Systems, part of On Assignment, the 2nd largest IT staffing and solutions company in the country has a position available in a Desktop Support capacity in Lexington, MA.  This position is a 5-month contract to hire with long-term permanent potential. Responsibilities:

  • Handle daily maintenance and monitoring of managed hardware and software
  • Assist in workstation and server life-cycle rotations
  • Provide support to network users for desktop computer, mobile computing devices, peripheral equipment, hardware and software-related errors, configuration and connectivity problems/issues, mainly via desk side - sometimes over the phone
  • Respond to assigned Remedy work orders, resolving issues and documenting resolution details in the work order
  • Performs system installations, maintenance, training, and user support within a defined application environment as well as provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems, including Desktops/Servers/Phones
  • Prepare, image, and install desktop and laptop computer systems and computer peripheral equipment
  • Assist the primary Equipment Custodian in support of central asset management functions and duties across the full life-cycle – planning, ordering, receiving, staging, preparing, delivering, tracking, retrieving (excess pick up), reutilizing, and disposing of IT assets. 

Must Haves: 

  • Holds an active security+ or pursuing a security+
  • Windows Desktop Operating Systems (Windows 7)
  • Microsoft Office Products (2010 - 2013)
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a secret security clearance
