Apex Systems is currently seeking a self-motivated Service Desk Technician for an exciting opportunity in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
 


•MUST POSSESS AN ACTIVE DOD TOP SECRET CLEARANCE WITH SCI ELIGIBILITY


 
Position:  Service Desk Technician
Location: Peterson AFB in Colorado Springs, CO
Clearance: Active DoD Top Secret with SCI eligibility required
Certifications: CompTIA Security+ and A+ (A+ can be substituted for MCP or Win10 certification)
 
Job Summary/Description:
Provide IT services based on the industry best practices Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework that allows for high-quality, measurable performance of IT services and meet all IT requirements through the entire life-cycle of each IT service in all possible operating environments to include: stable day-to-day operations, deployed operations, exercises, and contingencies.
 
Specific Duties:
  • Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining operating system workstations in support of business processing requirements;
  • Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages;
  • Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures;
  • Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance levels;
  • Ensures workstation data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions;
  • Develops and promotes standard operating procedures;
  • Conducts routine hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines;
  • Develops and maintains a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation

 
Because of the sensitive nature of the work being done for this government client, all candidates must hold a current DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
