Apex Systems is partnering with a AAA Game Studio in Redmond. We are looking for a rock star Software Design Engineer to help build our live tooling ecosystem. You will work with our services team, game team, community team, esports team and external partners to craft and design the interface and workflows critical to the studio’s goals of delivering an ongoing engaging experience for our customers.

 

Candidates must have strong computer science fundamentals, along with an ability to turn complex workflows into simple patterns.  Excellent communication skills across disciplines are vital.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of professional software development experience.

 

Qualifications:

  • Excellent knowledge of C++ or C#, preferably both.
  • Solid understanding of software engineering best practices.
  • A drive to create amazing AAA game experiences.
  • Strong communication and cross-team development skills.

 

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with calling or implementing web services (ASP.NET MVC/Web API).
  • Experience with a variety of front-end development (HTML5, React, XAML/WPF).
  • Experience with Content Management Systems.
  • Experience with visualizing business intelligence data.
  • Experience building complex frameworks and infrastructure.
  • Experience with source control systems (Git, Perforce, Source Depot).
  • Experience with build tools (MSBuild, NAnt, etc.).
  • Experience with continuous integration build systems (VSO, TeamCity, Jenkins, etc.
