Title: Software Development Senior Engineer

Location: Atlanta, GA

Duration: 9 month contract - possibility for extension

Role Overview:

The Senior Software Development Engineer will be a key member of the engineering team, responsible for designing, developing, and testing software in a multi-platform environment using cutting-edge technology, including cloud services. We protect our customers by disrupting attacker tradecraft so we can deny them access to the networks we protect. This is a challenging and also very rewarding position where interesting projects in security are implemented in order to protect our clients from Internet intrusions.

The ideal applicant must have strong communication skills, solid analytical and problem solving skills and in-depth knowledge of the high-level programming languages (such as C/C++/Java). Applicant must be highly motivated and willing to work in a team environment with very talented individuals.


Role Responsibilities:

-Responsible for the design and development activities associated with software using a range of applicable technologies (e.g., programming languages, compilers, assemblers, debuggers, other tools) for products used in local, networked or Internet-related computer programs

-Participate in product development in all stages including planning, design, development, testing, implementation and post deployment support

-Work cross-functionally to align requirements within the organization for software solutions.

-Evaluate new technologies and plan for appropriate insertion into our products

-Work with the team to develop, maintain, and communicate current development schedules, timelines and development status.



-7+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience

-Strong C/C++/Java programming skills

-Experience with programming in Linux platform

-Experience with networking technologies and protocols

-Experience with database technology

-Experience with data normalization, query optimization

-Experience with encryption and authentication mechanisms

-Experience with source code version control tools, e.g. git

-Experience with code review tools

-Experience with test methodology and test driven development

-Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment process and tools

-Experience with object-oriented design and programming

-Must have strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation); be project-oriented with ability to work with minimal day-to-day direction; be highly motivated; and willing to work in a team environment

-Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience needed



-Proven development, design, documentation and review experience

-Exposure to scripting languages, such as Python, Perl, ShellScripting, Javascript

-Experience with Golang

-Experience with different data sources APIs such as Cisco estreamer, McAfee NSM, MSFT Management API, MSFT Graph API, AWS S3 compatible APIs, etc

 -Experience with driver development a plus

-Experience in security industry a huge plus

-Technically competent regarding the use of Cloud Computing Services, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS)

-Experience following Agile methodology and software development lifecycle

-Experience in Spotify squad culture

Candidates must be W2 and able to work on-site. --Need candidates with a strong programming/development background in C++ or Java. --Security industry (encryption, networking, etc) a huge plus. --Role will primarily be helping with data source and API integrations, and security event processing.
