Apex Systems is looking for a Solution Architect in Bloomfield, CT with a focus in Application Services and/or Enterprise Content Management.

The Solution Architect is a key subject matter expert responsible for developing IT solutions, as well as understands the existing IT and business roadmaps, systems and applications, and enterprise services and how they interact with each other.  This position works closely with cross-functional business teams in a consultative manner to drive new business and/or meet compliance requirements. This position works in close collaboration with multiple IT Delivery teams in a matrix environment to influence enhancements, design, and mutual understanding of business needs.

 

 

  • Contributes across the entire project development cycle (planning, analysis, design, code, test, initial pilot/production launch, and production support)

 

  • Lead and/or participate in enterprise architecture and roadmap development.

 

  • Performs complex technical research and analysis and make recommendations on potential solutions to meet business need while working within the constraints and budgets.

 

  • Lead and/or participates in solutions architecture development.

 

  • Lead and/or participates in application architecture development.

 

  • Lead and/or participates in vendor and tool selection.

 

  • Lead and/or participates in Enterprise Content Management solutions

 

  • Provide input to setting architecture and design standards, guidelines, and processes

 

  • Engaging in best practice sharing and effective solution delivery.

 

Skills:

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum 10+ years of application development/architecture experience

 

  • Solution, Applications, and/or Mobile architecture and design experience with large complex systems

 

  • Experience with Enterprise Content Management

 

  • Experience with web applications and tools, Java, XML, XML Schemas and mobile

 

  • Applications development experience, as well as integration design and development experience

 

  • Broad knowledge of IT systems, processes and controls

 

  • Experience in healthcare industry, specifically claims systems preferred

 

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

 

  • Strong Problem Solving skills – Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions, Probes all fruitful sources for answers, Can see hidden problems, Looks beyond the obvious and doesn't stop at the first answers, Is excellent at honest analysis
