Microbiology Manufacturing Senior Associate, 1000095
Job Scope & Purpose:
This is an amazing opportunity for a driven individual looking to make a difference. Our client, a leading biopharma company on the verge of creating a breakthrough drug, is looking for a motivated and talented Manufacturing Associate or Sr. Associate. In this position, you will support all aspects of clinical and commercial supply. In addition to ensuring compliance with cGMP, SOP’s, Batch records and good work practices, you will strive for continuous improvements and contribute to successful manufacturing campaigns. This client also has a strong cross-training program and if hired you will be able to explore other avenues such as QA, QC, Analytical Development, and/or Process Development. 
Primary Job Responsibilities:
  • Operation of bioprocess equipment for microbial cultures, recovery, and purification
  • Execution of Batch Records and authoring/editing Standard Operating Procedures 
  • Troubleshooting of manufacturing and process challenges
  • Management of raw materials and consumables required for manufacturing
  • Proactive identification and mitigation of risks 
  • Identification of process changes and improvements 
  • Initiation and support of deviation/quality event investigations and close-out

Primary Job Requirements:
  • B.S./M.S. in the life sciences with 2+ years' experience in Biotech/pharma manufacturing
  • Strong experience with aseptic technique
  • Experience working under cGMP standards for clinical and/or commercial manufacturing
  • Knowledge of biotech manufacturing process and equipment in aspects of fermentation, filtration, purification, and formulation processes
  • Flexible with schedule and willingness to work long shifts if necessary (but rarely)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment to meet current challenges
  • Work well independently and in group settings
