Essential Responsibilities:

• Depth of experience across the data and analytics domain

• The ability to listen to customers and create a vision to meet enterprise wide needs

• A desire to consistently learn and understand new approaches and technologies for Data Governance

• Thought leadership in how to balance empowerment with oversight, ensuring that processes, tools, and controls consistently drive optimal actions and enablement

• Able to create and drive strategies for data impact analysis/lineage, data quality, sensitive data management,  metadata management, access controls, and formalized data and analytics definitions

• To apply a distributed ownership mindset and culture to Data Governance

• To translate business needs into technical architectures

• To be able to communicate complex technical concepts in summary level terms to business stakeholders

• Able to work with and understand security and compliance standards and needs to translate these needs into automated data driven solutions

• Able to conduct pilots and evaulate new technologies across multiple vendors and potential solutions                             Qualifications/Requirements :

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent (STEM)

• Demonstrated ability to work well with others from many different backgrounds and skill levels

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in information technology

• An interest to grow as a data professional and learn the desired characteristics if not already present
                              Additional Eligibility Requirement

• Must be willing to work out of an office located in Cincinnati, OH                             Desired Characteristics

• Experience working with large data ecosystems

• Experience with the Data Governance domain

• Experience building governance processes that can scale to the enterprise

• Experience with data impact analysis/lineage, data quality, sensitive data management,  metadata management, and access controls

• Experience creating ecosystems for users of differing skill levels so they can learn from and navigate on their own

• Experience and understanding of Alation

• Experience with AWS technologies

• Knowledge of common sensitive data classifications

• Knowledge of Hortonworks/Hive databases

• Knowledge of machine learning concepts

Business Acumen:

• Demonstrates the initiative to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems

• Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating efforts

• Has the ability to analyze impact of technology choices

• Skilled in balancing value propositions for competing stakeholders.
