General Scope / Summary


The Sr. Financial Analyst will be part of the Finance team, reporting into the SVP, Finance Manager.  The Sr. Financial Analyst role will analyze financial data by creating and monitoring financial models and recommend actions to management; Improve financial status by analyzing results; monitoring financial variance; assist in the forecasting and budgeting process; and assist in weekly and monthly financial reporting preparation as well as monitoring and reporting of Daily Settlement activities.  In addition, the Sr. Financial Analyst will be involved in Interest Rate Risk analysis, preparation of Board and ALCO packages, and analysis and modeling of both the Capital and Liquidity Stress Tests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


General
  • Analyzing current and past financial data and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly Asset Liability Committee (ALCO) reporting
  • Assist in the monthly reporting of the bank’s Asset Liability Model (experience with ProfitStars is preferred, but not required)
  • Prepare and evaluate financial forecast and budgets
  • Have a strong understanding of yields and net interest margin
  • Prepare daily, monthly, and weekly deposit and liquidity reports
  • Assist with all aspect of liquidity management
  • Understand and manage all aspects of the company’s cash flow
  • Inspect, investigate, and resolve discrepancies for all treasury related activities
  • Understand, maintain, and manage appropriate treasury and accounting procedures and processes
  • Assist and support other Treasury staff
  • Work with multiple partners during budget/reforecast
  • Partner with Accounting team on various activities
  • Model and build assumptions for forecasting
  • Assist in analyzing and running liquidity and capital stress tests
  • Review and input for policies pertinent to Treasury
  • Forward ‘out of the box’ thinking for forecasting drivers of portfolios
  • Documentation of controls around processes in Treasury
  • Perform other tasks that may be assigned by the Finance Manager
  • Maintain current knowledge of all Federal and State Laws and Regulations, along with all Bank’s policies and procedures
  • Not to harm consumers with any act that could be misleading, unfair, deceptive, or abusive in act or practice

  • B.S. degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of work experience in treasury or finance related activities.
  • Advanced skills in MS-Office Excel.
  • Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with accountants, vendors, and upper management.
  • Good communication skills for communicating with employees and management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.

Bank Secrecy Act Requirements
Responsible for adhering to the reporting and recordkeeping requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering rules and regulations, observing economic sanctions by prohibiting transactions as specified by the Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC), following the bank’s customer identification program (CIP) rules, observing all Bank policies and procedures relating to BSA, OFAC, CIP, and related acts, and participation in ongoing related training.
