Global medical device company in Irvine is seeking a Sr. R&D Lab Tech to join their team!
 
Description & Responsibilities:
  • Ability to work independently on the qualification of new test equipment
  • Incorporate new equipment into calibration and induction system
  • Manage out-of-tolerance (OOT) and calibration of equipment within the required allotted time
  • Oversee day-to-day activities in the lab
  • Write standard operating procedures (SOP), qualification protocols, and reports for new equipment
  • Initiate ECRs in IGNITE (Engineering Change Request)
  • Other incidental duties as determined by management

Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree plus a minimum 2 years of related experience in R&D lab, or a minimum of 4 years of experience in R&D lab.
  • Extensive knowledge of equipment and maintenance in a lab equipment.
  • Strong verbal communication skills needed to advise employees on safe and proper equipment and tool operation use within the lab.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good writing and computer skills.
  • Strong problem solving skills, root cause analysis, and GDP (Good Documentation Practices).
  • Must have good data analysis skills and technical writing skills including drafting procedures, protocols and reports.
