ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A Reporting Analyst is qualified to perform tasks such as:

  • Establish general data collection specifications that translate into detailed, practical plans for data collection systems;
  • Establish general processing specifications that translate into detailed, practical plans for data processing and interprets findings to draw substance and meaning from them;
  • Analyze management information requirements to develop programs or administrative reporting systems, data gathering and analytical techniques;
  • Design and implement reports in Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Visual Studio utilizing data pulled from a data warehouse or other agency resources;
  • Apply a variety of complex mathematical and statistical theory and techniques and specialized quantitative areas.
  • Conduct rigorous analysis to solve highly complex problems and integrate mathematical and statistical methods to help validate and support findings and reports.
  • Provide advice in determining the appropriate advance statistical sampling, analytics and methodologies to use based on the derived or modified theory.
  • Advise on the formulation of mathematical models to produce critical and defensible results.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS 

  • 2—3 years of experience in data synthesizing
  • 2—3 years of experience analyzing, and reporting based on data collection
  • 5 or more years of experience with Excel to include advanced PIVOT Table creation and Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) and Access
  • 2—3 years of experience with relevant technology toolsets relative to data analysis and documentation to include data reporting/data mining tools
  • 2—3 years of experience with design and/or maintenance of SharePoint or InfoPath workflows.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Math, and/or Computer Science (preferred)
