Senior Research Associate, Molecular Biology, 968164
Job Scope & Purpose:
Our early stage Waltham based client is looking for a talented researcher to join their team. This is an immediate need and an amazing opportunity to join a growing team that is going to make waves in the biotech industry. Primary Job Responsibilities:
  • The individual will work in the laboratory and be responsible for experimental execution and data analysis for research studies supporting cutting edge therapeutic programs and platform discovery research
  • Employ viral vector-based strategies for the genetic modification of human T cells with chimeric antigen receptors (CARs) and T cell receptors (TCRs)
  • Apply recent advances in synthetic biology to create and characterize the next generation of CARs/TCRs
  • Expansion and cell banking of engineered cell lines
  • Develop and conduct in vitro analytical and functional bioassays for characterizing engineered CARs and TCRs including expression, efficacy, and cytokine production

Primary Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor Science (Master of Science preferred) in Biology, Molecular Biology or Biochemistry, with 5+ years of hands-on experience in the development of new biological therapeutics or pharmaceutical products is required
  • Experience in molecular biology, cloning, protein chemistry (PAGE, Western blot, ELISA), and flow cytometry is required
  • Direct experience with T cell culture and techniques to characterize T cells including cytokine analysis, cytotoxicity, and proliferation assays is preferred
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and technically competent
  • Highly adaptable and responsive, and committed to completing tasks in a timely fashion
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic environment as a team player with a strong work ethic
  • Excellent team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to maintain written records in the form of laboratory notebooks (paper or electronic)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
