Senior Risk Specialist
Apex Systems, the nation’s 2nd largest IT Workforce Solutions organization, has an immediate and exciting opportunity for several Senior Risk Specialists for one the largest Financial firms in Columbus, Ohio.  These opportunities are for a 6 Month Contract-to-hire.

Company & Group Details of the Senior Risk Specialist:
  • The Senior Risk Specialist will work as part of a collaborative team in a fast paced enterprise environment. 
  • The individual will need to be able to document processes, have a self-starter mentality while being able to be a team player, and hit the ground running.
  • Be able to work with the Infrastructure and IT Teams and Stakeholders to ensure timely and functional work is delivered.
  • Work for one of the region’s Top Financial Firms.

Requirements for the Senior Risk Specialist:
  • 5-7 years as a Risk Analyst working with extensive experience in Controls.
  • Ensure the effectiveness of risk functions and controls to support strategic goals.
  • Able to lead and present on testing, findings and remediation.
  • Strong documentation skills around processes, testing and findings.
  • Have a self-starter mentality and drive to work independently and as a team member while coordinating and prioritizing work.

Technologies for the Senior Risk Specialist:
  • Strong MS Office skills including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
  • Experience with SOX, Internal Controls, PCI, and/or SSAE16.
  • Knowledge of corporate security, legal, and regulatory processes.
  • Identify risks, inconsistencies and controls to see how they will impact regulatory change.
  • Able to lead and drive testing of General Controls and make audit recommendations.
  • Document findings and review delivery documents for accuracy.
  • Financial Services background/experience is a plus.
