Senior Solution Architect - Managed Services
Work you’ll do
  • Develop and maintain a portfolio of Managed Service solutions
  • Own the solution architecture process architecture/multi-solution development cycle identifying opportunities and risks
  • Identify opportunities for solution value differentiation and
  • Consult and strategize with Solution leadership in key solution decision making and development components
  • Lead and develop junior staff
  • Contribute to new solution design and design changes for solution change(s)
  • Manage own personal and professional development; seek opportunities for professional growth and expansion of consulting skills and experiences
  • Support the development of new capability design and implementation across existing solutions and projects
  • Identify potential risks to Managed Service solutions across pricing delivery, market validation, contracts, and quality, and create solutions to manage or mitigate risk.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a relevant technical discipline with 10+ of related experience
  • Demonstrated expertise developing/delivering technical solutions for large scale technology platforms and offerings
  • Understanding and experience of life-cycle development methodologies
  • Demonstrated experience delivering technical reports and plans (verbal/written) to executives and senior officials
  • Experience with all components of the ITIL framework
  • Possess current industry certifications in project management, cloud technologies, computer platforms, systems and networks, data services and/or security
  • Business acumen to discuss business needs and challenges with customer 'C' level executives
  • Expert problem-solving skills and ability to methodically understand and resolve complex issues with experience leading and selling large customer solutions
  • Deep knowledge of solutions and services
  • Demonstrated ability to focus ambiguous customer needs into specific deliverable requirements
  • Detail oriented and possess advanced analytical skills
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (oral, written and presentation)
  • Experience with personal computers, networking, hardware, software, firewalls, mobile devices, server administration, backups/disaster recovery/contingency planning, server consolidation, virtualization, high availability, load balancing, clustering, telecommunications, and wireless technologies.
  • Provides technical expertise and leadership to project teams in the analysis, design, implementation and enhancement of IT infrastructure.
  • Possesses deep knowledge and experience in multiple infrastructure areas and is able to synthesize that information to create integrated solutions.
  • Contributes a perspective that spans the disciplines of technology infrastructure design, network engineering, implementation, security and project leadership.
  • Provides thought leadership to strategic technical direction. Incorporates current and future technology to achieve strategic goals.
  • Leads technical consulting support on projects and existing infrastructure support issues.
  • Leads technical design discussions; proposes and documents architectural plans; guides junior engineering staff in design and implementation process.
  • Manages smaller projects independently with PMI-based project methodologies.
  • Recommends and implements best practices, strategic design and direction in the management of IT infrastructure relative to contingency planning, network design, backups, server management, virtualization, high availability, load balancing, and clustering.
  • Expert-level troubleshooting skills.
  • Performs network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems related to connectivity, including the use of network monitoring equipment.
  • Performs infrastructure troubleshooting to diagnose issues with server performance and availability.
  • Ability to multi-task and work multiple projects simultaneously. Capability to schedule time with flexibility to handle varying workload, and still meet tight deadlines
  • Proven ability to work with multiple levels of decision making with experience creating Statements of Work, cost modeling, proposals, working with 3rd party contractors
  • Proficient with common office applications, including MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Visio, and other.
