Job Description:
  • Extensive experience in creating and managing AppSense Configurations for Environment Manager in support of development, testing, and production
  • Considerable knowledge of Ivanti User Workspace Manager (formerly AppSense DesktopNow) (UWM) for use with persona management for Physical and Virtual desktops
  • Considerable technical experience implementing, configuring, supporting and maintaining Windows Server operating system.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Group Policy, Including but not limited to
    • Client side preferences
    • Loop back processing
    • Item-level targeting
    • RSOP analysis
  • Considerable knowledge of Microsoft roaming profiles and user application data placement
  • Broad knowledge of client/server technologies and distributed computing hardware and basic understanding of systems management, application infrastructure, infrastructure consolidation and related operating system & supporting technologies and operational standards
  • Considerable technical knowledge in Active Directory and core Microsoft technologies
  • Ability to analyze user personalization data and modify the data as needed to resolve user issues
  • Ability to work with the AppSense team to sustain globally distributed UWM environment supporting 187,000 users
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve reported Environment Manager incidents, perform root cause analysis, and document remediation in incident management system
  • Ability to assist in defining standards, guidelines, best practices and metrics for Ivanti product deployment and performance
  • Ability to create documentation for site administrators and global service desk personnel to provide first call response

Job Requirements:
  • Associate or Bachelor degree required or equivalent work experience within the UWM technology
  • Minimum of 2 years of Windows Desktop OS administration, optimization, configuration and troubleshooting experience
  • Minimum of 1 year administering an environment with at least 1000 users configured for Ivanti (AppSense) User Workspace Manager (DesktopNow)
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in selecting, implementing, troubleshooting and supporting end-user technologies & services in environments over 1000 users
  • Security+ certification to be obtained within 90 days of hire
  • MCSA Certification
  • Ability to obtain and maintain government clearance level –NAC
  • Experience with DNS, LDAP, DHCP, GPO and Active Directory technologies
  • Scripting experience with Microsoft PowerShell and VB Script a plus
  • Ivanti/AppSense certifications a plus
