Systems Analyst Job Description:
Verizon is actively searching for a Business/System Analyst as the key project stakeholder for transformative digital experiences and Open development initiatives. If you value innovation and longer-term thinking and are self-motivated and curious about technology, this position may be perfect for you. As part of the Open Development Device Certification team, you will interface with leading and emerging OEMs to certify IOT/M2M devices. You will work with leading domestic and international OEM's to design, develop, certify and deploy state-of-the-art devices. The work you’ll do every single day impacts people’s lives, work and play.
Systems Analyst Responsibilities:
  • Lead cross-organizational discussions to identify root cause and resolve complex customer issues
  • Develop and publish process metrics to improve performance of M2M operations.
  • Facilitate strategic discussions and brainstorm improvement opportunities with M2M operational teams
  • Perform data analysis to identify root cause of operational issues.
  • Re-design existing processes to streamline M2M operations.
  • Develop workflow and process map diagrams to drive detailed requirements and discussions
  • Provide guidance on device requirements to the OEM.
  • Provide Module hardware selection information.
  • Provide secure access to our internal portal.
  • Ensure all full certifications and maintenance releases are managed according to OD processes.
  • Build strong partnerships with IoT Device partners to ensure the requirements are meet for certification.
  • Guide the OEM through all technical specifications, marketing information release note information and educating the OEM on using the portal where all this information is stored.
  • Coordinate meetings with or internal labs to decide on test plans to be run on the device, approve the devices for testing at third party labs. Provide weekly status on all devices assigned.
  • Provide priority of these devices for test plan evaluation at our internal lab.
  • Developing, documenting and sharing processes defined to assist in supporting 5G
  • The selected candidate will play a key role in navigating complex business and management challenges, collaborating across a variety of internal teams and leading a small team of professionals focusing on 5G requirements, testing scope, automation and IT integration.
  • Set up profile of device for activation and billing
  • Interface with IT and PMO organizations to develop system enhancements
  • Manage delivery timeline to implement and streamline M2M processes.
  • Manage activities to introduce new processes and systems to operations
  • Monitor process performance to drive improvement and ongoing process/system enhancements

Systems Analyst Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in System Engineering, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Four or more years of technology experience engaged in engineering, development.
  • Experience in working with global clients.
  • Analytical skills and experience in developing user stories, and data modeling
  • Demonstrated facilitation and project management capabilities with track record of accomplishing goals on deadline
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Energetic and proactive with a strong sense of urgency
  • Strong multi-tasking skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to present complex ideas in simple terms and obtain buy-in from stakeholders
  • Ability to translate market/customer needs into well-conceived, cost effective solutions and proposals
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management across various organizations
  • Technical aptitude with good understanding of IT, finance, contracting, onboarding, private network, revenue assurance, provisioning and device/network management processes
  • Knowledge of one of more systems: M2M Operational Center, OD Portal, DMD, UWS/IoT Order Flow, Vision/CPI, 5G, LTE Compliance, Certification, RF Testing
  • Proficiency in JIRA, Agile Process, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal, written, analytical and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence organizational direction and departmental initiatives working with all leadership levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose device, network and operation issues.
  • Demonstrated excellent problem solving and negotiation skills.
