Position: Systems Analyst (tier 2)

Duration: Permanent Direct Hire

Location: South Austin, TX

Rate: 50-75k +



  • Simultaneously support production and development systems in a dynamically changing environment of integrated systems
  • Maintain integrity of enterprise applications by adhering to configuration management and change control procedures
  • Evaluate evolving business requirements and recommend appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current enterprise systems
  • Procure, implement, configure, monitor, modify, maintain and upgrade multiple applications and technologies on multiples environments
  • Provide business and after-hour support of production application environment as part of on-call rotation and as needed
  • Identify and implement solutions to technical, business, and user problems; leads technical envisioning and execution of projects across multiple teams to completion
  • Apply standard system analysis techniques and procedures, in consultation with applications teams, to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications
  • Develop and establish processes that facilitate resource and capacity planning, disaster recovery and business continuity, and provide proactive application performance improvements
  • Seeks to understand the landscape of Enterprise integrations and provides input and guidance to affected teams on Enterprise wide changes and lead governance enforcement
  • Mentor fellow team members and convey computing concepts effectively to non-technical users
  • Ensure proper documentation of incidents and resolutions
  • Attend daily stand-ups with the team to discuss current projects and support tasks
  • Train, mentor and develop less experienced system analysts in the areas of development methodology and best practices
  • Work with peers and business partners to document business processes and information technology requirements, analyze requirements, prepare technical specifications, and upon project completion, produce thorough support documentation


  • 2-4 years of experience in Integration/Middleware experience/SOA methodology
  • Strong understanding of Linux Redhat
  • Cloud experience is a plus
  • 2-4 years of experience in a production-level integration support, systems analysis, and implementation services in a large data center environment
  • 2+ years of basic knowledge of SQL
  • 1+ years of experience in one or more scripting languages (Bash, Python, Powershell, etc.) with writing from scratch and editing
  • Understanding of data standards and governance
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with Agile methodology
  • JMS - Enterprise Service Bus a plus
  • Strong Experience working with production critical systems in high pressure situations
  • Strong system implementation, architecture, fault tolerance/DR, performance enhancement and process automation experience
  • Experience installing and configuring web servers and application servers
  • Proactive approach to resolving all IT & Operational issues before they become critical
  • Understanding of basic network concepts, familiarity with TCP/IP and VLAN functionality
  • Proficiency in essential UNIX commands like grep, top, df, du, and ps
  • Proficiency using VI or VIM text editors
  • Proficiency with Active Directory – administration, structure, and management
  • Proficiency with monitoring applications – System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), Datadog, Orion, WhatsUp, Nagios, etc.
  • Documentation and repository management and upkeep
  • ITIL processes and framework experience preferred
