Job Description:

Our Infrastructure team is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to help drive our business into a cloud first strategy utilizing Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS. You will support our existing datacenter hardware infrastructure while also helping us transition more to the cloud. This is a hands-on position in an exciting, fast paced environment that requires a self-motivated problem solver who is capable of seamlessly meet their goals. You have a creative mindset towards infrastructure support and solutions, passion for achieving the incredible in short timeframes and deep technical background preferably supporting on premise and cloud infrastructures.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Experience managing and maintaining hybrid datacenter technologies - Windows Server Operating Systems, VMWare VSphere/ESX, Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, SAN storage, disaster recovery and backup solutions.  
  • Act as a subject matter expert for Active Directory Group Policy, Replication, AD Integrated DNS, DFS and PKI.
  • Support and administration of OKTA Identity services such as OKTA SSO and OKTA Identity Lifecycle Management.
  • Support and administration of Office365 messaging environment - Exchange Online administration, on premise Exchange 2016 relay, AirWatch/O365 Mobile Device Management, email retention policies, Office365 licensing, Proofpoint/Office365 spam filtering.
  • Office 365 tenant administration and product deployment management (OneDrive, Skype for Business, Azure, Azure AD).
  • Automate repetitive tasks using PowerShell.
  • Support and administration of cloud storage and file sharing via Box and OneDrive.
  • Respond to and solve escalated service requests in a timely fashion. Provide assistance, guidance and regularly communicate with the 1st and 2nd level support personnel. Write knowledge base articles so that frequent issues are able to be solved without escalation.
  • Create and update documentation so that peers are able to complete the same work in your absence. 
  • Participate in ongoing architecture strategy discussions with infrastructure team and weekly change advisory board meetings.

General Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience implementing and maintaining datacenter infrastructure including but not limited to converged systems, hyper-converged systems, SANs and servers.
  • 3+ years’ experience managing cloud infrastructure technologies such as Microsoft Azure and AWS.
  • 5+ years’ experience managing and maintaining - LDAP, Microsoft Active Directory Group Policy, Domains and Trusts, Sites and Services, Azure Active Directory and AD Integrated DNS, DHCP. Demonstrated knowledge of authentication protocols such as SAML, Kerberos.
  • 2+ years’ experience with PowerShell scripting and demonstrated ability to create scripts to automate repetitive tasks.
  • 2+ years’ experience Office 365 Messaging support in a Hybrid configuration, Mobile Device Management (ActiveSync), Spam filtering, Mail Flow and AD Connect.
  • Experience with the Identity Lifecycle and its management, experience with MIM useful but not required.
  • Self-starter with the willingness to wear many hats. Must have strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to prioritize and complete projects on-time and on-budget.
  • High energy, creative, self-motivated and collaborative with a team first attitude.
