Job Description:

Technical Accessibility Consultant

  • New projects are ramping up, additional resources required to support the increased team workload and gaps in subject matter expertise
  • This resource will be supporting the development of new office space
  • We require someone who will provide SME guidance with Assistive technology in the workplace.
  • This position requires the individual to have a background with Accessibility, assistive technology design standards, Assistive Technology tools etc, and so act as the accessibility SME and advocate to provide feedback and support on procurement decisions to ensure they are accessible.
  •  Acting as an accessibility and workplace accommodation subject matter expert

Key Qualifications:

  • Strong experience with Accessibility, assistive technology tools, and Workplace Accommodations from a technology standpoint (i.e. special equipment or software required to accommodate certain disabilities)
  • Comprehensive accessibility knowledge including deep understanding of industry standards on accessibility such as W3C, WCAG, etc.
  • Experience with the PMLC and working in a project team

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Team-oriented
