Title: Technical Writer III

Location: Mountain View, CA

Duration: 1 year contract 


Project Overview 
Advertiser Platform builds and maintains ad technologies. Our product areas includes Campaign Management, AdWords Application Programming Interface (API), Reporting, Conversions, and many more. We offer a platform for partner engineering teams (internal) to develop and launch powerful advertising features (e.g. mobile, shopping, video advertising etc). 
They are looking for a seasoned, self-motivated, and tech-savvy technical writer in MTV who will work directly with our engineering team located in MTV. 

Overall Responsibilities: 
- Plan, write, publish, and maintain high-quality technical documentation aimed at internal engineering teams using the AP infrastructure to launch their product features. 
- Organize existing documents, identify documentation needs, and spearhead efforts to fill in gaps. 
- Collaborate with engineers and program managers. 

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities: 
-Create content for E learning or other methodologies learning and training modules utilizing research and collaborating with teams 
-Collecting new data, reviewing existing data and turning them into narratives for engineers 
-Identify gaps and plan enhancements accordingly around a variety of technologies and tools 

Job Requirements

- Ability to learn tools and technologies in a short span of time 
- Ability to research, develop and test content independently. 
-Prior experience owning and creating training material (samples needed) 

Nice to Have Skills/Not Required: 
- Ability and interest in learning and explaining new technologies. 
- Ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. 
- Self-starter who takes initiative and delivers results. 
- Adept at establishing relationships and alliances with engineering teams. 
- Experience managing large documentation sets written for developer audiences. 
- Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills. 
- Knowledge of SQL and Java is highly desirable. 
- Experience with HTML, Markdown, and Unix a plus.
