Job Title: Telecom Project Coordinator/Service Delivery Manager
Duration: 3-6 months- strong potential to extend
Location: Richmond, VA
  • The Service Delivery group is in need of 5 contract Project Managers to assist with external customer orders/projects.  This team manages new services for new and current customers.  These customers fall within enterprise, government, and other telecom carrier segments.
  • The PMs will be responsible for updating the customer on the project status from the time the sales team creates the order until the service is activated.  This includes getting the facilities and new fiber, coordinating with the customer's tech teams, and preparing for activation.  They will work cross functionally with internal engineering teams and communicate any potential timeline changes to the customer.  PMs on this team can manage approx. 80-120 orders at a time depending on size.

  • Mid- Sr PM with telecom carrier industry experience supporting voice/data products
  • Experience with project tracking tools such as Excel Or Project
  • Experience supporting external customers as well as working with internal teams

We are seeking a responsible Project Manager to administer and organize all types of projects, from simple activities to more complex plans. Ultimately, the Project Manager's duties are to ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget and meet high quality standards. Project managers are responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. Project managers plan and designate project resources, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed the entire way. Responsibilities include:

•  Preparing comprehensive project plans, inclusive of resources and key milestone deliverables

•  Maintain effective communication with all internal and external Customers

•  Perform various coordinating tasks, including but not limited to scheduling, along with other administrative duties such as task management within internal OSS

•  Looking for candidates with carrier telecom experience
