Role Title: Voice Biometrics Consultant

Target Start Date: ASAP

Number of Positions: 1

Duration: 5 months from start date

Work Location: Toronto

Hours (is there a possibility of OT): Monday-Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Overtime may be required on an as-needed basis.

Group Information: The Contact Centre Planning, Development & Innovation team is responsible for supporting the Contact Centre business by designing solutions and providing subject-matter expertise regarding applications. This team makes vendor recommendations, business cases, and pricing for the solutions offered to the business in response to their need.

Purpose of Job: The primary purpose of the role is to act as the SME in the deployment within our telephony platform leveraging either Naunce security suite or PinDrop. This role involves hands-on and expert technical execution of the passive voice biometrics environment and related components. Further, the incumbent liaises directly with the client, or together with the RM client in solution building and collaborative problem-solving.

Secondary roles include business case input, design recommendations, support, and vendor management relating voice biometrics solutions.

Major Accountabilities:

1. Deliver functional communications solution components on time and budget through delivery/adherence to the following:

•  Assess the design and deployment of high performance and scalable security suite infrastructure and application products to ensure the health and well-being of our business. Explore new security technologies through testing, rating and reporting on various potential solutions with the objective of recommending the best solution for the current environment. 

•  Technical documentation of solution

•  Provide support to ongoing external and internal audits and audit remediation on  information technology, including generating technical recommendations

•  Develop and maintain security processes and procedures, and support service-level agreements (SLAs) to ensure that security controls are managed and maintained

•  User documentation of solution

•  Conduct security research in keeping abreast of latest security threat landscape and stay abreast with the current information technology trends

•  Programming/configuration of solution components

•   Delivery of technical training to end user representatives

•  Creation and execution of test/use cases in IST (and possibly UAT)

•  Adherence to aspects of the SDLC where applicable, including Bank-created processes

2. Manage technical aspects of vendor deliverables in voice biometrics solutions, including adherence to budgets, timelines, quality and accuracy of technical deliverables.

3. Accountable for solution transition to the Application Support area including post-implementation overlapping support, and continual environment assessment and capacity planning.

4. Together with the Enterprise Architect, designs communications solutions of advanced complexity, whether targeted at in-house development, or outsourced to vendor development. Includes designs consisting of various ‘best-of-breed’ communications components including necessary infrastructure (HW/SW). Contributes to compelling Business Cases and proof of concept documentation.

5.  Leads architectural and programming best practices by maintaining up to date knowledge of solution components, delivery methods and abilities.

What is the Project the Contractor will be Working On?: This role will be supporting adding voice analysis to the IVR, acting as an SME for the voice biometrics platform.

Must-Have Skills/Experience:

•  5 years of Information Security or technology risk and controls background

•  5 year’s experience with telephony platforms such as Genesys, Cisco, Oracle SBC, etc..

•  5 years of experience with Key Risk Indicators and Technology Risk reporting

•  Familiarity with various Security frameworks, such as FISMA, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, SOX

•  Previous financial industry experience

•  5 - 10 years technical work experience with voice biometrics platforms such as Nuance Security Suite or Pindrop Panorama.

Nice-to-Have Skills/Experience:

•  Technical designations an asset (i.e Nuance, Pindrop, etc)

Soft-Skills:

•  Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

•  Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives
